About Us

The Hyderabad Children’s Aid Society is a voluntary charitable organization. The main aim of the organization is to give value-based education and a happy and comfortable childhood. Guardians of orphans and poor widows not able to maintain their children bring them to our “Home”,  which has been providing not merely shelter but also giving them meaningful childhood which otherwise would have been denied to them.

The Society runs four homes in Hyderabad (AP), India:

1) Radha Kishan Home for children under 9 years

2) Radha Kishan home for Small Boys under the age of 12 years

3) Balika Bhavan for girls in the age group of 10 to 18 years

4) Vejbai Bal Nivas for boys from 11 to 18 years.

Each home has a qualified residential superintendent with three helpers. At present 270 children are being sheltered free of cost in sylvan surroundings having airy buildings and spacious playground.

All the children residing in the four homes go to school or colleges. At Nanalnagar we have the V.K. Dhage Special Coaching Center i.e, from Nursery to class X. The school for the children in the same premises prepares students for the school final state board examination. Qualified teachers are employed from Nursery to class X. The school has a large library, science lab, a computer room.  Sports, arts & craft and other cultural activities are encouraged. Our academic performance is good and the Board exam results are encouraging.

All our children are happy and healthy. The day begins with yoga and meditation. The children are sheltered in airy spacious buildings with a big playground served Nutritious food and given decent clothing free of cost. All festivals are celebrated in traditional style. Children are taken on educational excursions and outing during holidays. Annually health, eye and dental camps are conducted.

In the past sixty years the society has produced thousands of responsible educated citizens. The society has to its credit medico nurses, teachers, technicians, scientists, advocates, businessmen and officers in government and private sectors. By sheltering and educating the underprivileged children the society has minimized street children and child labour.
